Why BTS journey?

I guess I need to explain the reason for my blog and for its title. I have been accepted to Bangor Theological Seminary--BTS-- for the fall semester in their Master of Divinity program. I thought a blog might be a good way for my friends and family to keep up with what's going on. I'll be attending their Portland, Maine campus and I'm very excited. I'll be starting with a summer class entitled "What Your Parishioners Are Reading." It should be a nice way to get my feet wet, especially since I recently graduated with a B.A. in English and reading is one of my favorite things! :) I'm currently reading "The Celestine Prophecy"--yes, I know, it's been out a while! A friend recommended it, and so far it's pretty interesting. I'm also reading "What Would You Do If You Had No Fear?"--very inspirational. I'm definitely going to work on a list of things I'd like to do before I die. What are some of those? Learn to play the flute, learn to fly a plane, walk across England, and climb Mt. Katahdin are a few on the top of my list.

Memorial Day

My friend Robyn and I walked with my daughter's Brownie troop in Presque Isle's Memorial Day parade yesterday. It was a lot of fun. Abby is the one to the right of the banner holding the stuffed kitty. Robyn, Abby, and I went to McDonald's for lunch afterwards. Wonderful day! :)
